Day 2: A Chocolate Treat
After loading up on vegetables yesterday I needed a chocolate treat with dinner. I decided to make another Oh She Glows recipe. I made her much-talked-about Chilled Double Chocolate Torte. Oh She Glows is vegan, so all of her desserts are devoid of animal products including butter, milk and eggs. This recipe used avocados as a source of healthy fat and almond milk in place of cow's milk. The taste is something to get used to for my boyfriend and I since we are both non-vegans. But it was rich, chocolaty, and decadent without using much sugar or unhealthy fat.
I didn't do any formal exercise yesterday, but I did survive my commute in 100 degree heat and did some spring cleaning after work. I'm ready to start my exercise classes again starting Saturday!
